About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Aletheia. Journal of Human Development and Social Education Contemporary (ISSN: 2145-0366) is an electronic journal of the areas of social and human sciences, on a biannual basis, founded in 2008 in Colombia, as part of the International Master programs develop by Foundation for Education and Human Development CINDE, in agreement with the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios - UNIMINUTO. His management and publishing is done through OpenJournal Systems (OJS), following the principle of open access to knowledge.
Its mission is to be a social space of the manifold possibilities of the knowledge produced about human development, education and contemporary social, generated by the actors from the academic community, scientific and social. It is planned as a place for meeting and discussion between actors from differentnational and international contexts.

Peer Review Process

To contribute in strengthening the scientific community involved in the investigation of the issues and problems related to human development, social and educational assessment Aletheia assumes all contributions sent in the form of double-blind, thus preserving the anonymity of the author and the evaluator.Each item received is submitted to a panel of renowned researchers and experts in the field itself the theme of the text.
To perform this process, academic peers are governed by two types of evaluation, a quantitative and qualitative. The first, supported by giving scores to the items on five-point scale, this evaluation determine, firstly, if the document is publishable, and secondly, under what conditions. With respect to the qualitative, see that the evaluators to express their views on the text and to make suggestions to improve its quality. Thus, the opinion that originates from the evaluation is considered an instrument of support for the author, enabling you to enrich and improve the disclosure of his reflections, when this is relevant, it ultimately redound favorably on the presentation of his scientific writings.
From the date of receipt of the opinion, the author has a deadline of up to three (3) weeks to make adjustments or modifications requested and send the letter back to the journal. Through this evaluation process, the Review proposes a performance objective, critical, demanding and respectful with each job sent to it.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Exclusivity Policy

Authors who choose to publish in Aletheia, must do so with original papers, andalso assumes that when you send them, they allow the evaluation and reproduction of their works. In this sense, once approved for publication by the Journalit is expected the author's commitment to achieving the required adjustments to their writings. Aletheia Once chosen as a means for publishing their work, authors are requested to do not submit the same work in any process of submission to other means of disclosure. Aletheia academic peers do not receive monetary payment for the evaluation of work, for this reason his work is highly valued by Aletheia and it is hoped by the authors.

This journal is socialized national and international knowledge on family issues, children and youth, as a basis for human and social development.
