Abstract

This article presents a reflection about the contemporary world environmental crisis,placing its attention at the economic, social and technological processes of transformationin the configuration of the modernity discourse. Through the modification of landuses as a market function and at the same time by a growing worry about the environmentalconscience, it is argued that in effect, the earth does live climatic changesbut not for a unique reason. The article evidences the linguistic treatment that pushesthe global economy, permitting us to understand what we call a spiritual crisis.
