Abstract

This text is a product of the research undertaken as part of the pedagogical approachesresearch program for the PhD in education and society of La Salle University, and isan enquiry as to how the memory and identity of a society is to be explained andrecovered. Establishing a dialogue between history, philosophy and psychology, wehave taken a qualitative, theoretical-textual narrative, psycho-historical approach, where certain concepts that may be applied to think about identity from a narrativeperspective, are used to reconstruct the history of a subject in relation to his socialenvironment. Thus, it was found that the best way to construct memory is to bearin mind the facts from the past, the day-to-day from the present and the horizon ofexpectations from the future. All this integrated in a narrative thread, which from psychohistoryperspective, makes possible an introspection that may lead to a culturalchange of mindset.
