Abstract

The book includes discussions and reflections on the categories of Social Movements, Resistance, Planning and Development that teachers and students of the research line Social and Community Developmentof the Master of Education and Social Development CINDE - National Pedagogical University, proposed from research and social experience.
The text is divided into four sections, the first co-developed by the Line, Elkin Agudelo, entitled "The place of social and community organizations. In defense of the territories from civil resistance actions "proposed a theoretical reflection about the next three chapters, which relates the categories of collective action and civil resistance as explanatory horizons articulating the book's central discussions .
