Abstract

This article, framed in the archaeological-genealogical approach proposed by Michel Foucault, aims to trace and describe the conditions and power lines that intersected to enable the emergence of a new form of schooling of children in public education in Colombia during the period 1960-1994. This is intended to show how the "pre-schooling children" was the result of a complex process of engagement, deployment and development of knowledge-power relations, discourses, institutions, knowledge, controls and practices. In addition, beyond an attempt to overcome the intent to investigate the origin of past events, it is rather a commitment to shape the outline of circumstances that made the pre-schooling of children and their settings as a power device within the school and society. Therefore, the object that frames this article revolves around how these new practices of subjectivation that were instituted, new subjectivities shaped preescolarizadas children at some point were "curious phenomenon" but now are no longer strangers and form part of what is stated and lawful otherwise inherent in society.
