Abstract

This research, with a qualitative approach, presents an analysis about the social representations of mothers of handicap children. This situation opens the possibility to determine whether there are difficulties in order to consolidate process of organization and empowerment of local actors. It also shows the mothers’ social representations about their children taken them as an agent that start participation process.
