Abstract

At the wetland La Conejera (located in Suba, Bogotá D.C.), A process of education andcommunity participation started in the year 1993, looking for solutions to the environmentalecosystem problems in this area. Some of the participants in this process haveplaced themselves in different scenarios of political operations at the Capital District,while others continue to lead other community processes.This article presents the relationship of the environmental situation in La Conejerawetland and the agency capacity of the community leaders through environmentaleducation processes which allowed recognition, appropriation and incidence in thetransformation of this territory.
