Social perceptions of poverty in inhabitants of a locality in a border area

Abstract
Este artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación titulada “Percepciones sociales sobre la pobreza en el barrio La Fortaleza del municipio de San José de Cúcuta”. Adscrito al macroproyecto de la Facultad de Educación, Artes y Humanidades, de la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, titulado “Migración: pobreza, desarrollo y factores psicosociales”. Este escrito contiene como eje principal analizar las percepciones sociales sobre la migración y la pobreza en el barrio La Fortaleza del municipio de San José de Cúcuta; por tal motivo, fue oportuno desarrollarla bajo el paradigma cualitativo y desde un enfoque fenomenológico, cabe señalar que la investigación aportó una mirada a la pobreza, que servirá para la acción y obtención de nuevos conocimientos a los investigadores sociales y que generó insumos valiosos al Grupo de Investigación en Trabajo Social (GITS) desde la línea de problemáticas regionales y fronterizas.
