Education in values and citizenship for conflict resolution

Abstract
Education constitutes one of the foundations for personal and social development. The research aimed to summarize and analyze scientific production in relation to education in values, citizenship and conflict resolution, fundamental elements for social transformation. It was based through the methodology of review of scientific articles during the period 2018-2024 in the European and Latin American context. For this purpose, the Scielo, Google Scholar and Scopus databases were searched. The flow chart allowed a graphical representation of the articles found at the beginning 583, while those eliminated and screened resulted in 44 and 29 articles were determined for the review. The results showed the importance of these elements. It is concluded according to the findings that self-confidence, leadership, dialogue, empathy, participation, and critical thinking, are the basis for education in values and the construction of citizenship that allows the development of capacities and skills for conflict resolution. Therefore, the articulation of committed institutions will guarantee the conditions for social transformation.
