Parresia and metropolis Between pragmatic-normative reason and the Thimoic models of current coexistence
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article offers a reflection on the problem of parrhesia and the subject in the current polis (anticipated by Benjamin) in the heart of life in cities, where its exercise and possibility, passes not only by a threshold factor and scale within the multitude, or Foucault's power play, or the fragmented and temporary configurations of meaning, according to the conditions that liberal capitalism offers (Sennett) but also tense and dilute (Bauman) in the play between the rational-instrumental, according to Habermas, and the irrational or thimoic, according to Sloterdijk.
