Abstract
Este artículo presenta hallazgos derivados de la investigación magisterial denominada “Impacto del docente innovador sobre el aprendizaje utilizando las TICs en secundaria”. El estudio está enmarcado dentro de la metodología cualitativa bajo el paradigma fenomenológico. Los instrumentos que se emplearon fueron la entrevista, la observación y la revisión de documentos. Los resultados indican que los docentes utilizan las herramientas TIC disponibles intentando con ello innovar y mejorar los procesos formativos. Además se constató que los docentes no utilizan las teorías de aprendizaje para mejorar los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Se pudo evidenciar algunas características del docente innovador en su quehacer educativo. La relevancia de este estudio para la educación es que se marcó el inicio de una investigación que puede ser ampliada para indagar el impacto que tienen los docentes sobre la calidad de la educación impartida en las instituciones del sector.
